Raise a Glass
You're dealt a guest in secret. Write them a one-line toast; the table guesses who it's for. Every toast goes in the book.

What it feels like
Every wedding has its speeches. Tonight, everybody gives one, but only one line long, and to someone they didn't choose. Here's how it works. Each of you is secretly dealt someone in the room and writes them a one-line toast. The toasts come up one at a time, with no names. Guess who each one is for, but never who wrote it. Then we reveal who it was. Every right guess scores two points, and every toast is kept in the group's Almanac.
How to play
- Each of you is secretly given someone in the room to write about.
- The descriptions come up one at a time. Guess who each one is about, never who wrote it.
- Reveal who it was.
Scoring: 2 points for each right guess.
You'll get prompts like
- “Write a one-line toast to {s}”
- “Toast {s} for something they've done for the couple”
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
