What it feels like
Somewhere in this house is the perfect object. You have sixty seconds to find it, bring it back, and convince everyone it's exactly what the prompt asked for. Walk fast. Don't run. Go!
How to play
- A prompt comes up, like "something older than everyone here".
- Sixty seconds: everyone races to find something that fits, wherever you are.
- Back in the room, each person gets ten seconds to show and pitch their find.
- Vote for the best find, on your phones or by pointing. You can't vote for yourself.
Scoring: 1 point for getting back before the buzzer, 3 for the room's favourite find. Five prompts a game.
You'll get prompts like
- “Something older than everyone in this room”
- “The softest thing you can find”
Playing safely
Nothing sharp, nothing alive, and nothing that isn't yours to borrow. Walk on stairs.
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
