What it feels like
Somebody in this room did it. The clues will come from their own true answers, so they'll be telling the truth... just not all of it. Deduce, defend, and accuse. Keep your story straight.
How to play
- Take a private turn each: five quick yes/no questions about yourself. One of you is secretly told you're the culprit.
- A case is read out. Then three clues appear, one at a time — each one is true about the culprit.
- After each clue, everyone gets a sentence to explain why it can't be them.
- Then everyone accuses someone, on phones or all pointing at once.
Scoring: 3 points for accusing the right person. If fewer than half of you catch them, the culprit scores 5 for getting away with it.
You'll get prompts like
- “Are you left-handed?”
- “Do you drink coffee most days?”
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
