What it feels like
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the only quiz show where every answer came from someone on the sofa. Here's how it works. First, everyone answers four quick questions about themselves on their phone. Those answers become the board. Pick a clue, and the moment it's up, buzz in on your phone. First buzzer says, out loud, who wrote it. Right, and you take the points. Wrong, and the next buzzer gets a go. If nobody knows, the person who wrote it takes half.
How to play
- In a private turn, answer four short questions about yourself. Nobody sees them.
- Your answers become the board: four categories, worth 100 to 500. The last person to get one right picks the next clue.
- The clue is an answer. Buzz in on your phone, then say out loud who wrote it. You can't buzz on your own.
Scoring: Right: the clue's points. Wrong: you're out for that clue and the next buzzer answers. If nobody gets it, the person who wrote it takes half.
You'll get prompts like
- “A food you'd never order”
- “Your first job, or the first thing you were paid for”
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
