What it feels like

Welcome to the house. Not everyone leaves it. Here's how it works. I ask about the room, and everyone votes on their phone. Vote with the room's top pick and you're safe, with a point for your trouble. Vote any other way and you're in danger. In danger, you take the remote for a twenty-second trial. Pass it and earn two points. Fail it and you're a ghost. Ghosts keep voting. Whoever's still standing at the end takes five.

How to play

  1. A question about the room, like who's most likely to sing at a wedding. Everyone votes on their phone.
  2. Vote with the room's top pick and you're safe. Vote another way and you're in danger.
  3. In danger, you take the remote for a 20-second trial. Pass it and live; fail and you're a ghost. Ghosts keep voting.

Scoring: 1 point every time you vote with the room, 2 for a trial you survive, 5 for each of the last ones standing.

You'll get prompts like

  • “Who here is most likely to sing at a wedding?”
  • “Who here is most likely to get lost with a map in their hand?”

What you need

3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
