What it feels like
Ladies and gentlemen, there is a number on somebody's forehead, and the only person who can't see it is the one wearing it. Here's how it works. On your turn, shut your eyes, tap the button, and hold the screen to your forehead, facing the room. It shows a number from one to ten. The room gets three questions, like, name a film that's this many out of ten, and answers out loud at exactly that level. Nobody says the number. Then you take it down and guess. Your exact number scores three points. One away scores one.
How to play
- On your turn, hold the device to your forehead, screen facing the room. It shows a number from 1 to 10 that everyone can see except you.
- The screen asks the room three questions, like “name a film that's this many out of ten”. They answer out loud — honestly, at exactly that level.
- Take the device down and guess your number.
Scoring: 3 points for your exact number, 1 if you're one away. Everyone gets a turn.
You'll get prompts like
- “Name a film that's this many out of ten.”
- “Name a food that's this many out of ten.”
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
