Pass the Phone
I'm passing the phone to someone who… Finish the line in secret, hand it over without a word, and read the whole chain out at the end.

- ~15 min
- 3–10 people
- One device, or phones
- Included in Pro
- Ages 12+
What it feels like
One phone. One sentence. And you don't get to see what the last person wrote about you. Here's how it works. Whoever's holding the phone finishes a line in secret. I'm passing the phone to someone who... Then they pick who it's about, and hand it over without a word. That person writes theirs and passes it on, until everyone's had it once. Then we read every line out, in order. After each one, hands up if it's true. The writer scores a point for every hand. Be honest. Be kind. Mostly.
How to play
- The device starts with one of you. In secret, finish the line — “I'm passing the phone to someone who…” — and pick who gets it.
- Hand it over without a word. They don't see what you wrote. They write theirs and pass it on, until everyone has had it once.
- Then every line is read out in order. After each one, hands up if it's true.
Scoring: 1 point to the writer for every person who says their line is true. Everyone writes one and gets one.
You'll get prompts like
- “someone who always”
- “someone who still”
Playing safely
Tease a habit the whole room already laughs about. Nothing about looks, bodies, money, or anything told to you in confidence. If you wouldn't say it to their face, don't write it.
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
