What it feels like
At the baby shower, the baby's name is sealed in a yellow envelope, pinned to the top of a cake made of nappies. At four o'clock, it will be read out. But at four o'clock... the envelope is gone. Here's how it works. The story has four parts, and a different person reads each one aloud. Between parts, the screen gives you something to argue about. At the end, you each accuse in private: who took the envelope, and where it is now. Then the solution is read out. Name who took it for three points, and say where the envelope is now for two.
How to play
- The story comes in four parts. Each is read out loud by someone different — everyone else just listens.
- Between parts, the screen gives the table something to argue about. Every clue you need is in the story.
- At the end, everyone accuses in private: who took the envelope, and where it is now.
- Then the solution is read out — and one last question with no right answer, for the whole table to argue about.
Scoring: 3 points for naming who took it, 2 for saying where the envelope is now. Then the table decides: tell the name early, or wait?
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
