What it feels like

The gym smells of slime and volcano. In the middle of it all sits Sprocket, the little robot that won first prize. Today the judges decide whether Maya goes away to science camp, all summer long. Then the fire alarm rings... and when everyone comes back in, Sprocket is gone. Listen carefully. Something in this gym is chirping.

How to play

  1. The story comes in four parts. Each is read out loud by someone different — everyone else just listens.
  2. Between parts, the screen gives the table something to argue about. Every clue you need is in the story.
  3. At the end, everyone accuses in private: who took the robot, and where it is now.
  4. Then the solution is read out — and one last question with no right answer, for the whole table to argue about.

Scoring: 3 points for naming who took it, 2 for finding it. Then the table decides: was he wrong?

What you need

3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
