What it feels like
Every family has its legends. The uncle who met a famous actor. The grandmother who drove a tractor at twelve. Tonight, two of your stories are yours... and one belongs to someone else in the family.
How to play
- Take a private turn each: write three short stories. Two happened to you; one happened to someone else in the family. Mark the borrowed one.
- Each person's three are read out. Argue about them, then pick the one that isn't theirs.
- Reveal it, and hear whose story it really was.
Scoring: 2 points for spotting the borrowed story. Fool more than half the room and you score 3.
You'll get prompts like
- “Two true stories about you, and one true story about a relative — the room must find the relative's”
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
