What it feels like
Twenty words on the board, one clue at a time. Your clue-giver is thinking of six of them. Somewhere on that board is a trap, waiting. Listen to the clue. Choose carefully. And don't touch the trap.
How to play
- Each turn, one person gives the clues. They secretly see which six of the twenty words are theirs — and which one is the trap.
- They say one word and a number out loud, like “Ocean, 3”: the word links that many of their six.
- Everyone else talks it over and taps words. A word that isn't theirs ends that clue. The trap ends the whole turn.
- Two clues a turn, then the next person gets a fresh board.
Scoring: The clue-giver scores 1 for each of their words found, and 2 more for all six. Tap the trap and they lose 2.
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
