6x6 sudoku puzzle: Six Square
A six-by-six number puzzle the whole room solves together, one remote between you. Get a number right and you keep it.

- Ages 8+
What it feels like
A puzzle for the whole room, kept the old-fashioned way. Here's how it works. Every row, every column and every box of six holds the numbers one to six, once each. Whoever has the remote picks a square, chooses a number and places it. Right, and you keep the remote and score a point. Wrong, and it passes on. Everyone can help, out loud.
How to play
- One puzzle for the whole room, and one remote. Everyone can help, out loud.
- Every row, every column and every box of six holds the numbers 1 to 6 once each.
- Arrows move to a square. OK starts a number, up and down change it, OK places it. Get one wrong and the remote passes on.
Scoring: 1 point for every number you place right. The puzzle ends when the grid is full.
What you need
1 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
