What it feels like
The fire's crackling. The night is dark. Tonight, you'll tell a legend together, one line each, and you'll only see the line before yours. Nobody knows where this story is going. That's the fun.
How to play
- The first person gets the opening line and writes the next one.
- Each person sees only the line before theirs, then adds their own.
- At the end, read the whole legend aloud, top to bottom.
Scoring: No points. The story is the prize, and you can seal the best lines.
You'll get prompts like
- “Start a legend about this place”
- “Start a story about the night the lights went out”
What you need
3 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
