What it feels like

Ladies and gentlemen, the city needs building and you have one remote. Here's how it works. Blocks fall from the sky. Slide them left and right, turn them with up, and drop them with OK. Fill a whole row and it lights up and clears. Each of you gets one run, and the best score of the night wins.

How to play

  1. Pass the remote round the room. Each of you gets one run of up to 90 seconds.
  2. Blocks fall one at a time. Slide and turn them so they fill whole rows: a full row clears.
  3. Left and right slide, up turns, down drops faster, OK drops it all the way. The run ends when the stack reaches the top.

Scoring: 100 for one row, 300 for two at once, 500 for three, 800 for four, and a little for every block and every fast drop. Best run wins.

What you need

1 to 10 people and one phone, tablet or laptop to pass around — or everyone on their own phone in a room. Nothing to download, no accounts. The best lines can be sealed into your group's Almanac and come back in later games.
