The family reunion pack

Family reunion games: Family Lines

Ten games for the whole family, from the youngest cousin to the oldest great-aunt. The stories get told, the recipes get argued over, and the letters you write tonight open at the next reunion. Everything worth keeping goes into the family's Almanac.

When everyone arrives

  • Family Firsts
First family holidays, first cars, first homes. Guess whose memory it is.
  • Ballpark: Family Numbers
How many cousins does Grandpa have? Everyone guesses; closest without going over wins.
  • Runs in the Family
Don't write your answer — write the family's. The biggest group scores; a tie scores nobody.

Around the table

  • Two Truths & a Relative (also comes with Pro)
Two stories are yours; one belongs to another relative. Family history, told out loud.
  • Recipe Relay (also comes with Pro)
A family recipe, retold by everyone. See what survives.
  • Then and Now
Everyone writes a family then and a family now. The room sees the then, and guesses whose it is.
  • Family Legends
Tell a true family story and stop right before the ending. The room guesses what happened.
  • The Storyteller's Chair
One relative, sixty seconds, three questions. Start with the oldest person in the room.

After dinner

  • Family Awards
Secret votes for the family titles. Guess who the room picked before the reveal.
  • Family Portrait
You're dealt a relative in secret and write what you'd want them to know. The room guesses who it's for.
  • Family Album Doodles
A phrase becomes a drawing becomes a guess, all the way round the family. See how far it drifts.
  • Grandma's Recipe (also comes with Pro)
Thanksgiving, a thunderstorm, and Grandma Lupe's secret stuffing recipe gone from its tin. Read the mystery aloud, then accuse someone — in secret.

Before you leave

  • Until Next Time
Everyone seals a short note to the family. It opens at the next reunion, and the room guesses who wrote it.

How it works

  • Paid once. $19, plus any tax where you live. Nothing renews, and it isn't part of Pro.
  • Kept by your group. You name the group when you buy; everyone with the group's link can play on the group's devices.
  • Guests need nothing. Only the host's screen needs the pack. Guests join on their own phones with a room code, or you pass one device round.
  • Refundable for 14 days from the pack's page, on the terms in our Terms.

Afterwards: the book

Whatever you seal at the end of a game — a toast, a piece of advice, a prediction — goes into your group's Almanac. From Family Lines's page you can then order the book of it: a 6 × 9 inch hardcover or a PDF made only from what was sealed in this pack's games. The book is bought separately.

Good to know

The games play on one screen; everyone else can join on their phones. Ages 10 and up.
